Toby Hosterman is the Vice President of Practice Resources at Prospira Pain Care, and is primarily responsible for leveraging his technical and executive leadership skills within the Prospira organization to help Prospira scale in a tightly-integrated manner in the areas of Information Technology and Human Resources.
Toby started with National Pain Institute (NPI) in 2009 as Chief Information Officer and has been with Prospira since April of 2013. In that timeframe, he has helped Prospira harness technology to provide better solutions for doctors and patients alike.
He is a problem solver with the ability to wear both the “techie” and “business” hats in the Prospira organization. This unique ability has played a big part in the organization’s ability to be data-driven and to scale effectively and efficiently.
Toby was born in Williamsport, PA and graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a Bachelorʼs of Science in Information Systems Management while serving in the U.S. Army Reservesʼ 11th Special Forces Group (AIRBORNE).
Tobyʼs wife of 17 years, Carla, also works at Prospira, and they have two children, Madelyn (13), and Riley (10). Both of Tobyʼs children attend STEM schools, and he genuinely enjoys talking with them about how the world works.
He primarily enjoys spending time with his family, playing blues guitar, and he is also a black belt in Tang Soo Do and Jujitsu. Toby and his wife are heavily involved in their childrensʼ school PTA as well as Cub Scouts, where they were leaders for 3 years and where Toby joined the wood badge ranks as a proud bobwhite. They also help coach their sonʼs First Lego League Robotics team.
Toby’s unique insights have proven invaluable to helping Prospira as they move forward to help more doctors and patients across new U.S. markets.
